I wish I could accept Valentines day whole heartedly. I like the idea of devoting one day entirely to the person that I love but I don’t like feeling that I have to or that somehow if Valentines isn’t special then our love is lacking. I tell myself each year that I’m going to give you a perfect Valentines day but on a different day, that way we don’t buy into the capitalistic idea of love. I tell myself that but then I never follow through. This Valentines day I want to simply relax and focus on how great we are for each other. I’m looking forward to spending tonight completey captiviated by my Redfox.
